Feb 20, 2014 · I reinstalled the entire Office 2013. No change. I reset all the copy and paste options to "text only" in the options-advanced menu of Word. No change. It would copy and paste but with a significant delay. Finally with you tip above about macros, I went in and changed the ctrl+c and ctrl+v to alt+c and alt+v. WORKS PERFECTLY!

Go into notepad, or if you prefer - excel. Type in some short text, then do the Ctrl-C and then Ctrl-V. Assuming it does paste, then bring up a blank word doc and then do a Crtl-V, if it does paste, look at what you are coping and see what is going on. In a blank word document,try text, graphic, etc. and do a copy/paste.
The problem could be with your keyboard if you’re using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for copy-paste. To rule out this possibility, open any other text editor like Notepad. Type some text and try to copy and paste using shortcuts. If it works, then copy-paste is not working only on the Word app and it might have been re-assigned. 7.
